The scheme "Namo Laxmi Yojana" by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to encourage girls studying in government, aided, and private schools in Gujarat to complete their education from Class 9th to 12th by providing direct financial assistance. Each eligible girl will receive a total financial support of ₹50,000/- on completion of classes 9th to 12th under this scheme.

  • Each eligible girl will receive a total financial support of ₹50,000/- on completion of classes 9th to 12th in government, aided, and private schools. Class 9th-10th Benefit:
  • ₹10,000/- per annum (₹500/- per month based on attendance × 10) and the remaining 50% will be credited via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) after passing the Class 10th board examination. Class 11th-12th Benefit:
  • ₹15,000/- per annum (₹750/- per month based on attendance × 10) and the remaining 50% will be credited via DBT after passing the Class 12th board examination

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be a girl.
  2. The applicant must be a student.
  3. The applicant must be studying in Class 9th to 12th in any Government, Government-aided, or private secondary/higher secondary school in Gujarat.
  4. The applicant must have an annual family income of less than or equal to ₹6,00,000/-.
  5. The applicant must maintain regular attendance to be eligible for monthly assistance.

Application Process

Step 1: Applicants should request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the School authority.
Step 2: In the application form, provide all the mandatory details, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attested, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the supporting documents to the District Education Officer.
Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgement from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted.
