Under this scheme, loans of up to ₹5.00 lakh are made available through various banks to help them start their own self-employment. A grant of 50% of the loan amount or a maximum of ₹50,000, whichever is lower, is provided as a subsidy. The eligibility of the applicant will be verified by the District Officer of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department within one month of receiving the application. After verification, the application will be forwarded to the relevant bank for loan approval, and the applicant will be informed about the grant approval after the bank's sanction.
