The "Mukhyamantri Swasthya Sahayata Yojana" was launched by the Department of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare, Government of Jharkhand, and aims to provide financial assistance for medical treatment to eligible beneficiaries. Through this scheme, monetary support is provided to alleviate financial burdens caused by illnesses, surgeries, or other medical needs.

NOTE: Funds are directly transferred to beneficiaries' bank accounts via PFMS (Public Financial Management System).

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be a resident of Jharkhand.
  2. The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, or Backward Class categories.
  3. The applicant must be suffering from the illness or surgery.
  4. Applicants already availing financial assistance from other government schemes are ineligible.
  5. The applicant must be a holder of one of the following ration cards:
  • Priority Household Ration Card (PHH)
  • Antyodaya Ration Card
  • Green Card

Exclusions

  • Benefits are not available for pregnancy and maternity-related expenses.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the Block Office, District Welfare Office, or Project Director (ITDA) Office and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Block Office, District Welfare Office, or Project Director (ITDA) Office.
Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
