The scheme “Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana Ati Sukshm (Nano) Udhyam” is implemented by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Department under the Department of Industries, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among the residents of Uttarakhand by providing financial assistance through banks to facilitate the establishment of new micro (nano) enterprises as well as the expansion of existing businesses.
Benefits
- To strengthen small entrepreneurs and businessmen in rural and urban areas, financing of up to ₹50,000/- is provided through banks for setting up micro enterprises or businesses. This financial assistance is also available for the expansion of existing businesses. The subsidy structure is as follows:
- Subsidy for Category A districts: 35% for the general category (maximum ₹17,500/-) and 40% for the special category (maximum ₹20,000/-)
- Subsidy for Category B and B+ districts: 30% for the general category (maximum ₹15,000/-) and 35% for the special category (maximum ₹17,500/-)
- Subsidy for Category C and D districts: 25% for the general category (maximum ₹12,500/-) and 30% for the special category (maximum ₹15,000/-). The category-wise classification of districts is provided in Annexure-2 (Page No. 157)

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a native or permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
- No educational qualification is required for availing the benefits under this scheme.
- The applicant must hold an account with the financing bank in the concerned area.
- The applicant or entity must not be a defaulter of any bank, nationalized bank, financial institution, or cooperative bank/institution.
Application Process
Online
- To avail the benefits of the scheme, applications must be submitted online through the portal https://msy.uk.gov.in/. Eligible applications are then forwarded online to banks for funding. Financial assistance may be provided under the scheme for both new projects and for upgrading existing small-scale enterprises. - The documents required for the application include the applicant’s photograph, Aadhaar card, permanent residence/domicile certificate, special category or caste certificate (if applicable), a copy of project details, affidavit, education certificate, bank account details, disability certificate (if applicable), and ration card. All self-attested documents must be uploaded online through the online portal.
- The prescribed subsidy will be released only after the project established under the scheme has been successfully operational for a continuous period of one year.
