Details

The MukhyaMantri Nishulk Uniform Vitran Yojana was launched by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on November 29, 2022, to provide free uniforms to all students studying in government schools from classes 1 to 8. Under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, a total of 48,39,758 students (including all girls, Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, and BPL category boys) have been approved for two sets of free uniforms, with a total budget of ₹290.39 crores, shared between the central and state governments as ₹174.23 crores and ₹116.16 crores respectively. Additionally, the state government is covering ₹115.10 crores for 19,18,419 students (General, OBC, SBC boys). An amount of ₹200 per student for stitching the uniforms is being transferred through DBT, with a total approval of ₹94.61 crores from the Finance Department of the Rajasthan government. The scheme also includes the provision of two sets of uniforms for over 1.7 million children aged 3 to 6 registered at Anganwadi centers.
