  • Process for availing benefits under the scheme: The following steps will be followed to avail free treatment under the scheme:

  • Identification of Eligible Family: Eligible families will be identified through their Jan-Aadhaar card number/Jan-Aadhaar EID/policy document/Aadhaar card. Therefore, provide this information to the health guide present at the scheme counter at the time of admission to the hospital to ensure the family's eligibility.

  • Identification of Beneficiary: Once the family's eligibility is confirmed, the patient's eligibility will be verified. For this purpose, by entering the Jan-Aadhaar card number or registration number into the software, the family category and family member details will be displayed. The patient will be identified and biometrically verified. A live photo will be taken in front of the web camera at the time of admission and discharge.

  • The patient will only be eligible for benefits under the scheme if the selected category and family member details are displayed in the scheme software.

  • Treatment of the patient will begin according to the package available under the scheme.

  • Provisions for treatment of children up to one year of age: Even if the name of the eligible family is not included in the Jan-Aadhaar card details, a provision has been made to provide treatment under the scheme to children up to one year of age. For this purpose, treatment can be provided by generating the child's TID in the name of any available family member registered in the Jan-Aadhaar card.

  • If the name of a child above one year of age is not included in the Jan-Aadhaar card, treatment for that child is not possible under the scheme. (In such a situation, the family should be advised that the child's name can be added to the Jan-Aadhaar card by presenting the birth documents at any e-Mitra center.) However, free treatment under the scheme will be available only after the name is added to the Jan-Aadhaar card.

  • Provisions regarding treatment for children under five years of age: Biometric verification and the presentation of a photo ID are not mandatory for treatment of children under five years of age. A child's TID can be generated by biometric verification of another family member listed on the family identity card.
