Details

Launched on 08-07-2015, the scheme "Mukhyamantri Aadim Jan Jati Pension Yojana" by the Women, Child Development & Social Security Department, Government of Jharkhand, aims to support primitive tribal families in the state. Financial assistance is provided to the adult married woman in each family. If there is no adult married woman, financial assistance is provided to the male head of the family. This is a family-based pension scheme. The scheme was earlier known as "Aadim Jan Jati Pension Yojana".

Eligibility

  1. The applicant should be an adult woman.
  2. The applicant should be married.
  3. The applicant must belong to one of the recognized primitive tribal groups: Asur, Birhor, Hill-Kharia, Korwa, Mal-Paharia, etc.
  4. No family member of the applicant should have a government or public sector job that provides a regular salary.
  5. The family should not have a steady income from any government or public sector employment.
  6. The applicant cannot receive benefits from other pension schemes like the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension, Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension, or similar schemes.

NOTE: If there is no married adult woman in the family, the male head of the family can receive the pension.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the Block Development Officer (rural) or Zonal Officer (urban), and request the hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, paste the passport-sized photograph (signed across, if required), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents, within the prescribed period (if any), to the concerned authority.
Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgement from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
