Details

The Mukhya Mantri Matritva Poshan Yojana, previously known as the Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana, is implemented by the Directorate of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) in Rajasthan. This scheme aims to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children up to three years of age through Conditional Maternity Benefits and nutritional counseling. The first phase of the scheme was launched on November 19, 2020, in five tribal districts of Rajasthan: Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Banswara, Udaipur, and Baran, following the budget announcement for 2020-21. The second phase, announced for the year 2022-23, extends the scheme to all districts in the state. Eligible women who conceive their second child will receive a cash assistance of ₹6,000 in three installments upon fulfilling the specified conditions: ₹1,000 for the first installment, ₹1,000 for the second, and ₹4,000 for the third.
