Details

To make agriculture profitable, it has become essential to not only focus on increasing agricultural production and productivity but also to enhance the quality of crops produced in the future to obtain good prices. The Rajasthan government, along with its agriculture and related departments, is continuously striving for this. This scheme has been proposed to enhance farmers' knowledge and capabilities by directly discussing agricultural techniques and tools developed by various countries with farmers from those countries, as well as through regional visits. A team going abroad will include a nodal officer appointed by the Agriculture Marketing Department and 25 farmers.

Eligibility

Farmers who are interested in going abroad for study/training must be farmers themselves. The maximum age limit is 65 years. Selected farmers must travel with the group as per the program set by the department and return after the tour. Any violation of these rules will be the responsibility of the member.

Application Process

Online

  1. The department will first prepare a program for the foreign study tour, detailing the countries to be visited and the activities to be observed/studied.
  2. This program will be made available to district and state-level committees.
  3. The district-level committee will receive applications from suitable farmers, evaluate them, and recommend eligible farmers' names to the state-level committee.
  4. Selected farmers must submit their applications in the prescribed format to the district-level committee.
