Details

The Medical Assessment Camp aims to assess the medical and functional needs of children with special needs studying in government schools in the state. The camp provides necessary aids, artificial limbs, hearing devices, educational materials, and low-vision devices to these children based on their requirements. It is organized at the block/district level in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Prosthetics and Orthotics (ALIMCO) Kanpur/Chanalon, Mohali, and the district hospital. The camp also selects eligible children for various surgeries, including corrective surgeries and cochlear implants. Aids such as tricycles, wheelchairs, calipers, hearing aids, MR kits, crutches, and Braille kits are provided free of charge to the selected children.

Children with special needs studying in government schools in the state are eligible to apply for the Medical Assessment Camp.
