Details
This scheme will be effective for women workers in building and other construction sectors who are registered beneficiaries under Section 12 of the Act and hold a beneficiary identification card as per Section 13 of the Act. Construction workers who default on monthly contributions to the fund will not be eligible for the benefits of the Maternity Assistance Scheme.
Benefits
- - ₹21,000for the birth of a girl child
- ₹20,000for the birth of a boy child
- An additional ₹1,000if no cash benefit is received under the Janani Suraksha Yojana
- ₹21,000 for the birth of a girl child

- An additional ₹1,000 if no cash benefit is received under the Janani Suraksha Yojana.
Eligibility
- Must hold a beneficiary identification card under Section 13 of the Women Workers Act.
- The age of the woman beneficiary at the time of delivery must be at least 20 years.
- Benefits are available for a maximum of two deliveries. No assistance will be provided if there are two or more children before registration, and only one delivery will be eligible for assistance if there is one child before registration.
Exclusions
Construction workers who default on monthly contributions to the fund are not eligible for benefits.
Application Process
Online
Applications must be submitted in Form 'A' to the local district-level officer or other authorized department officials within 90 days after delivery. Required documents include:
- Age proof of the beneficiary
- Proof of institutional delivery (hospital discharge ticket)
- Declaration of the number of living children.
