Manabik Scheme
Launched in 2018, the Manabik Pension Scheme offers monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000 to individuals with disabilities in West Bengal. Details
"Manabik" Scheme was launched by the Department of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal. This scheme is designed to provide financial support to individuals who are unable to work due to a disability. The aim is to assist individuals in maintaining a reasonable standard of living despite their inability to engage in gainful employment.
Benefits

Eligibility
- Applicant must be a disable person with 50% of disability.
- Applicant must be a resident of the state namely West Bengal for not less than 10 Years on the date of making application for Pension.
- Family income of the beneficiary should not exceed ₹1,00,000/- (One thousand) per month.
- The differently abled person should be declared unsuitable for physical work by the respective Medical officer.

Offline
- Application Form for Pension may be obtained free of cost from following offices namely.
- Office of the Block Development Officer or the Executive Officer of the concerned Panchayat Samity (For Rural areas).
- Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (For Municipal areas).
- Office of the Controller of Vagrancy, West Bengal situated at Purta Bhawan, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata 700091( For areas under Kolkata Municipal Corporation).
- Fill out the application form with required details and have to be submitted at
- To the Duare Sarkar Camps.
- To the office of Block Development Officer (BDO) in rural area.
- To the office of Sub-divisional Officer (SDO) in urban area.
- To the office of the Controller of Vagrancy in Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) area.
- Submit the required documents
- Self attested copies of Disability Certificate from Appropriate Authority.
- Aadhaar card.
- Digital Ration Card/ /EPIC card.
- Copy of front page of Bank Pass Book.
- Color passport size photograph.
