Details

The MAGARA Area Development Scheme was initiated in the year 2005-06 to promote the economic and social development of the MAGARA region in Rajasthan, which is surrounded by hills and inhabited by other backward classes and minority communities. The scheme focuses on the infrastructural development of the area, creation of community and other basic physical assets, and prioritizes works related to village sanitation, clean drinking water, healthcare, rural internal roads, education, and lighting in villages. It also aims to maintain the assets created under the MAGARA Area Development Scheme and other development schemes, establish small and cottage industries for local citizens to generate employment and livelihood, and undertake activities related to education, healthcare, archaeology, and environmental protection.
