The “Madhya Pradesh Kalakar Evam Sahityakar Kalyan Kosh Niyam- Serious Illness / Accident / Calamity Assistance” scheme has beenn launched by the Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to artists and litterateurs suffering from serious or long-term illnesses, accidents, or calamities. Under this scheme, one-time financial support is provided to meet medical treatment expenses that the beneficiary cannot afford.

Eligibility
- The applicant should be an artist or a litterateur.
- The applicant should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant should be suffering from a serious or long-term illness, accident, or calamity.
- The applicant’s (husband/wife) monthly income should not exceed ₹10,000.
- The total family income should not exceed ₹20,000 per month.
- The writer/artist's fully dependent spouse, fully dependent parents, dependent minor brothers and sisters, dependent minor children, dependent widowed daughter, and dependent differently-abled brothers and sisters are eligible to get assistance.
Exclusions
- The applicant should not be a government employee.
- The applicant should not be employed in autonomous or semi-government institutions.
Application Process
Offline
Step 1: The interested applicant downloads the application form (Page No. 8) from the official website.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Director, Directorate of Culture, Madhya Pradesh.
