The “Madhya Pradesh Kalakar Evam Sahityakar Kalyan Kosh Niyam- Disability Assistance” scheme has been launched by the Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Under this scheme, one-time monetary support is provided to eligible disabled artists and litterateurs for disability-related medical treatment. The assistance helps beneficiaries manage treatment expenses arising from permanent or severe physical disability.

  • - One-time financial assistance of up to ₹1,00,000/-
  • Assistance is provided exclusively for the treatment of physical disability. NOTE: Direct transfer to the beneficiary’s bank account

Eligibility

  1. The applicant should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
  2. The applicant should be a physically disabled artist or litterateur.
  3. The applicant should be 21 years of age or above.
  4. The applicant’s monthly income from all sources, including spouse income, should not exceed ₹10,000.
  5. The total monthly family income, including dependents, should not exceed ₹20,000.

NOTE: Income limits are revised annually with a 6 percent increase for eligibility calculation.




Exclusions

  1. The applicant should not be a government employee.
  2. The applicant should not be employed in autonomous or semi-government institutions.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant downloads the application form (Page No. 8) from the official website.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Director, Directorate of Culture, Madhya Pradesh.
