The “Madhya Pradesh Kalakar Evam Sahityakar Kalyan Kosh Niyam- Death Assistance” scheme has been launched by the Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the legal dependents of deceased artists and litterateurs. Under this scheme, one-time ex-gratia financial support is provided to the lawful heir to help the family cope with financial hardship after the death of the artist or litterateur.

- Assistance may continue to other dependents until marriage, employment, or attainment of 21 years of age, whichever is earlier

Eligibility
- The applicant should be the legal heir or dependent of the deceased artist or litterateur.
- The deceased should have been an artist or litterateur of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant’s (husband/wife) monthly income should not exceed ₹10,000/-.
- The family’s monthly income should not exceed ₹20,000/-.
- Families of government employees are not eligible.

Step 1: The interested applicant downloads the application form (Page No. 8) from the official website.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Director, Directorate of Culture, Madhya Pradesh.
