Details
The "Janani Suraksha Yojana" was launched by the Department of Public Health and Medical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to promote institutional deliveries among pregnant women to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality by providing cash incentives to women delivering in government and accredited private hospitals, as well as to motivators (ASHA workers or family escorts) who assist them.
Benefits
- Financial Assistance:
- ₹1,400to rural pregnant women delivering in government or accredited private hospitals
- ₹1,000to urban pregnant women for institutional delivery
- ₹350incentive to the motivator (ASHA or escort) assisting a rural woman for delivery
- ₹200incentive to the motivator (ASHA or escort) assisting an urban woman for delivery
- ₹250as transport allowance, if the motivator or family arranges transportation to the hospital
- Free hospital stay and maternal health services in government or accredited private hospitals
Financial Assistance:
- ₹1,400 to rural pregnant women delivering in government or accredited private hospitals.
- ₹1,000 to urban pregnant women for institutional delivery.

- The applicant must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant should be a pregnant woman.
- The applicant should deliver in a government or accredited private hospital.
- The applicant should belong to a BPL (Below Poverty Line) or Antyodaya family.

Registration
Step 1: Visit the Official Website of "Madhya Pradesh Lok Sewa Guarantee Portal".
Step 2: On the homepage, click "Citizen Registration". You will be taken to the registration page.
Step 3: On the registration page, fill in all the mandatory fields (name, mobile number, gender, and captcha) and click "Verify Mobile Number."
Step 4: A verification code will be sent to your mobile number. Enter the code and complete the registration.
Application
Step 1: Visit the Official Website of "Madhya Pradesh Lok Sewa Guarantee Portal".
Step 2: Enter your User ID, Password, and Captcha Code, and click "Login."
Step 3: Click on "Apply Online Service" and select the scheme you intend to apply for.
Step 4: In the scheme's online application form, fill in all the mandatory fields and upload all the mandatory documents in the specified format and size (fields marked with * are mandatory), and click "Submit".
Offline
- The applicant must approach a government or accredited private hospital for institutional delivery.
- The applicant must submit her BPL/Antyodaya Card and identity proof for eligibility verification.
