Lakshya Scheme

Permanent residents of Tripura who clear the Civil Services Examination (Prelims/Mains) conducted by UPSC can receive financial support through the Lakshya Scheme. Candidates are eligible for ₹1,00,000 for advancing to the Mains exam and ₹20,000 for interview invitations, with assistance available twice per candidate, subject to an annual family income limit of ₹10,00,000.

Details

The state scheme "LAKSHYA" was launched by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Tripura. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial support in the form of Scholarship to the candidates having permanent residence in Tripura, clearing Civil Services Examination (CSE) conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to adequately equip them, to mould them to acquire such knowledge and skill to compete with the candidates of other states in the civil services examination. The intervention will be in the form of direct financial support to candidates clearing the Civil Services, which includes Part I (Prelims to main), candidates who cleared prelims and are appearing for the mains. Part II (Mains to Interview candidates who are invited to appear for the interview) is conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility

  1. The Candidates should be a domicile of Tripura.
  2. The Candidate should have cleared the Civil Services Exam (Prelims Exam) conducted by the UPSC.
  3. The combined annual family income of the candidate should not exceed ₹10,00,000/-.
  4. A candidate can receive assistance only twice, regardless of how many times he/she attempts to pass the exam.

Application Process

Online

Registration Process:

  • Applicant should visit the Beneficiary Management Ecosystem (BMS) Govt. of Tripura portal. - Click on "Citizen Login" and then select "Register here."
  • Student fill in the required fields: Full Name, Email ID, and Mobile Number.
  • Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number to complete the registration process.
  • After registration, login using either the registered Mobile Number or Email ID and enter the received OTP.

Apply on Departmental Schemes:

  • After Login, the student will see the Home Page.
  • Navigate to the Education Section to view the list of onboarded Government DBT Schemes.
  • Select the desired department scheme, such as "Lakhshay - Chief Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme for UPSC (CSE)" with scheme code "CPBS9."
  • Click the "Enroll" button to apply for the selected scheme.
  • Review Scheme Basic Info & Scheme Payment Info and click "Proceed."
  • Optionally, view the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for detailed application submission guidelines.

Scheme Enrollment:

  • On the enrollment page, select domicile status.
  • If applicable, enter the 12-digit Ration Card No. and search.
  • Select the applicant's name from the list of family members if found.
  • Save personal and address details fetched from the Ration Card database.
  • Fill in all mandatory fields and upload required documents.
  • After saving, update the profile with mandatory data fields if prompted.
  • Click "Save Profile" and then proceed to apply for the selected scheme again.
  • Click "Enroll" to enroll in the scheme once more.
  • Review the scheme details and click "Proceed."

Scheme Enrollment Form and Submission:

  • Fill in Basic Mandatory Info, Address Area, and Bank Account Information.
  • Upload required documents: Photograph (jpg format), Bank Passbook, Income Certificate from SDM/DCM, UPSC Prelims/Mains Clearance Proof.
  • Provide Scheme Specific Information and Payment Related Information.
  • Click "Next" to proceed to the final submission of the application.

Final Submission Page:

  • Review the application details.
  • View uploaded documents by clicking "view more."
  • Confirm final details and click "Final Submit" to complete the application submission.

View/Print Acknowledgement Slip:

  • After final submission, view or print the Acknowledgement Slip from the Dashboard.

Resubmission Process (If some cases student upload wrong data or documents):

  • If requested by the Higher Authority Checker due to incorrect data or documents, log in to the account.
  • Find the option to resubmit the defective application and provide the required documents/details.
  • Click "Proceed" and follow the instructions to upload corrected documents.
  • Click "Next" to complete the resubmission process.
