The scheme aims to encourage producers, lyricists, singers, and musicians to produce qualitative Konkani Audio/Video/Digital albums of Tiatr songs. Cash awards from ₹5,000/- to ₹30,000/- are provided across twelve categories to Goan artists producing Konkani kantaram albums.

The scheme "Konkani Song & Music Awards (Tiatr Kantaram)" was launched by the Tiatr Academy under the Art, Culture and Museums Department, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to encourage producers, lyricists, singers, and musicians who invest significant amounts of money to produce Konkani Audio Compact Disc/Video Compact Disc/Digital Versatile Disc/Digital Albums of Konkani Tiatr songs, with the ultimate goal of encouraging qualitative album production to enrich Konkani 'kantar'. The scheme provides cash awards ranging from ₹5,000/- to ₹30,000/- across twelve different categories including solo singers, group performances, lyricists, music composers, and best album awards, with specific requirements for interactive lyrics in group categories and minimum composition requirements for album eligibility.

Eligibility
- The applicant must produce Konkani Audio Compact Disc/Video Compact Disc/Digital Versatile Disc/Digital Albums between 1st January and 31st December of the year identified by Tiatr Academy of Goa.
- The applicant must ensure the music director is compulsorily a Goan or of Goan origin.
- The applicant must ensure singers in the Album are Goans whose mother tongue is Konkani.
- The applicant must ensure the Album contains songs only in Konkani language and not in other languages like English, Hindi, Portuguese etc.
- The applicant must ensure the songs in the Album are not old songs or remix of old songs.
- The applicant must ensure the Audio Compact Disc/Video Compact Disc/Digital Versatile Disc/Digital Albums consists of minimum 8 Konkani kantaram.
- The applicant must ensure there are no adverse remarks in any form against any Governments/Individuals/Institutions or against caste, creed and religion in the lyrics of songs/performances/speeches.
Competition Requirements
- The applicant must ensure there are minimum three entries in each category to participate in that particular category competition.
- The applicant must ensure for Best Album award, the album has at least 5 kantaram from specified categories: one solo, one duet (interactive lyrics), one duo (interactive lyrics), one trio (interactive lyrics), one quartet/quintet (interactive lyrics), one choral song.
Child Singer Category
- The applicant must ensure child singers have not completed 16 years of age on or before 31st December of the year identified by Tiatr Academy of Goa.
Application Process
Offline
Step 1: The interested applicant should take a printout of the prescribed format of the application form. Alternatively, visit the office of Tiatr Academy of Goa to collect the prescribed application form for the scheme.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required). Sign the application form and mention the date.
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to -

Selection Process & Award Announcement
Step 1: The submitted Audio Compact Disc/Video Compact Disc/Digital Versatile Disc/Digital Albums will be judged by a Panel of Judges comprising eminent personalities experienced in song and music selected by Tiatr Academy of Goa.
Step 2: Tiatr Academy of Goa will announce the winners and present cash awards in the respective categories annually, with the judges' decision being final and binding on all participants.
