The scheme "Kalakar Kritadnyata Nidhi: Marriage Component" was launched by the Directorate of Art & Culture, Government of Goa. The "Marriage Component" of the scheme aims to provide financial assistance to aged and needy Goan artists to address their daughter's marriage-related expenses. The scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Art & Culture, Government of Goa. The applications for this scheme are accepted through prescribed proforma directly at the Directorate of Art & Culture, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, Goa.
Benefits
- Financial Assistance
- Financial assistance of ₹20,000/- shall be sanctioned for the first wholly dependent daughter& 39;s marriage
- Financial assistance of ₹15,000/- shall be sanctioned for the second wholly dependent daughter& 39;s marriage
- Maximum two wholly dependent unmarried daughters shall be eligible for this benefit. Disbursement
- The financial assistance shall be disbursed through Electronic Clearing System mode
- The assistance is a one-time grant per eligible daughter& 39;s marriage. Conditions
- The details of the expenditure incurred along with the vouchers shall be furnished to the department

Financial Assistance

Eligibility
For the Artist
- The applicant must be a Goan aged needy artist, born and brought up in the state of Goa.
- The applicant must be recognized by the Directorate of Art & Culture, Government of Goa.
- The applicant must be not less than 50 years of age.
- The applicant's annual family income from all the sources should not exceed ₹2,00,000/- per annum.
For Dependent Daughter(s)
- The daughters must be wholly dependent on the eligible Goan artist.
- The daughters must be unmarried at the time of application.
- Maximum two wholly dependent unmarried daughters shall be eligible.
Relaxation
- The Government may relax the age criteria for the artist for deserving cases under special circumstances.
Application Process
Offline
Step 1: Visit the office of the Directorate of Art & Culture, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, Goa, and collect the prescribed application form for the scheme.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the completed application form along with all required documents directly to the Directorate of Art & Culture, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, Goa.
Post-Application Processes
Step 1: The Directorate shall forward the application to the sub-committee for scrutinizing the application thoroughly. The Director shall give its recommendations to the sub-committee.
Step 2: The sub-committee constituted by the Government shall meet as and when required and shall consider the applications received for this purpose. The committee shall recommend the names of the artists which are considered fit by the sub-committee to avail the benefits under this scheme. The committee shall decide the quantum of assistance to be released to the needy artist.
Step 3: After the committee decides on the quantum of assistance, the approval from the Government shall be obtained for disbursement of the financial assistance.
Step 4: After obtaining Government approval, the Director shall disburse the one-time financial assistance amount to the eligible applicant in the form of Electronic Clearing System mode to the bank account.
