The Kaali Baai Bheel Udaan Yojna was launched on December 19, 2021, by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan under budget announcement 125 for the financial year 2021-22. This scheme aims to promote health awareness and distribute free sanitary napkins to girls and women in the state. The Women Empowerment Directorate, under the Women and Child Development Department, operates this initiative to encourage the use of sanitary napkins among girls and women, enabling them to discuss menstrual health issues without hesitation and access free sanitary products. The objectives of the scheme include promoting the use of sanitary napkins among adolescents and women, raising awareness about dignity, safety, and menstrual health topics, and ensuring the availability of safe and free sanitary napkins in Rajasthan.
