Details
Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram is an initiative of the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat, implemented since June 2011 in the state. The scheme entitles all pregnant women accessing public health institutions to completely free deliveries, including caesarean sections, with zero out-of-pocket expenses. Additionally, it assures completely free treatment for newborns during the first year of their birth, along with transportation to and from health facilities.
