The Jan Soochna Portal is a pioneering initiative by the Rajasthan government designed to empower citizens through the proactive disclosure of information. Originally proposed under the 'Accountability Law' in the 2019 budget, the portal shifts the responsibility of transparency from the citizen to the state, mandating departmental officials to remain accountable.
By integrating various departmental APIs, the portal provides a user-friendly, centralized platform that brings granular data down to the ward and panchayat levels, facilitating real-time social audits and ensuring transparency in governance.

The portal provides comprehensive access to several vital government sectors:

• Identity & Citizen Services:
  Jan-Aadhaar: Centralized digital identity for residents.
  E-Mitra: Access to a wide range of G2C (Government to Citizen) services.
• Health & Social Security:
  Mukhyamantree Ayushman Arogya Yojana: Transparent tracking of healthcare benefits.
  Labour Cardholder Information: Details regarding welfare schemes for registered workers.
• Employment & Rural Development:
  MGNREGA: Real-time data on employment, worksites, and payments.
  e-Panchayat: Governance and development details at the local level.
