The Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) aims to provide Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) to every rural household. The scheme prioritizes the provision of FHTCs in areas affected by water quality issues, drought-prone and desert regions, and villages under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY). Additionally, it seeks to ensure functional tap connections to schools, Anganwadi centers, Gram Panchayat buildings, health centers, wellness centers, and community buildings.
