Under the International Year of Millets 2023, the state government has implemented various incentives and promotional activities aimed at farmers in Gujarat. The initiative includes the establishment of processing units and the distribution of seed/input kits to encourage farmers to expand the cultivated area of millets and enhance their income through increased value addition. Assistance is provided through components such as demonstration activities, millet processing units, taluka-level fairs, and MahaNagarpalika-millet expos.
