Details

The Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme was launched by the central government in February 2009, and the Rajasthan government approved it on October 7, 2009. Under this scheme, widowed women aged 40 years and above from BPL families listed according to the standards set by the Government of India are eligible for a pension. From October 2, 2021, the process of automatic approval of online applications using metadata available on the Jan Aadhar portal, without human intervention, was initiated.

Benefits

  • - Monthly pension of ₹500for pensioners aged 40 to less than 55 years
  • Monthly pension of ₹750for pensioners aged 55 to less than 60 years
  • Monthly pension of ₹1000for pensioners aged 60 to less than 75 years
  • Monthly pension of ₹1500for pensioners aged 75 years and above
  • Additional ₹300per month for pensioners below 80 years and ₹500for those aged 80 years and above, with the remaining amount covered by the state government
  • Monthly pension of ₹500 for pensioners aged 40 to less than 55 years
  • Monthly pension of ₹750 for pensioners aged 55 to less than 60 years
  • Monthly pension of ₹1000 for pensioners aged 60 to less than 75 years
  • Monthly pension of ₹1500 for pensioners aged 75 years and above
  • Additional ₹300 per month for pensioners below 80 years and ₹500 for those aged 80 years and above, with the remaining amount covered by the state government.
