The "Incentive Scheme for Meritorious Students of Economically Backward Class of General Category" was launched by the Education Department, Government of Rajasthan. Under this scheme, a one-time financial assistance of ₹15,000/- along with a certificate of appreciation is awarded to the top 100 meritorious students of Class 10 and each stream (Science, Commerce, Arts) of Class 12, who are listed in the state-level merit list of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), Ajmer. The scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Bikaner.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant should be a native of Rajasthan.
  2. The applicant should be a student.
  3. The applicant should belong to the economically backward class from the general category.
  4. The applicant should be studying in a government or private school.
  5. The applicant should have passed Class 10th, Praveshika, Class 12th (Science/Commerce/Arts), or Varishta Upadhyay examination conducted by Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), Ajmer. 1. The applicant should have secured a minimum of 75% marks in the qualifying examination.
  6. The applicant’s parents’ combined annual income from all sources should be less than ₹2,50,000.

Application Process

Application Process:

Step 1: To avail of the benefits of the scheme, students should fill out the online application form through the institution head (principal) of their respective school.
Step 2: Eligible students are identified by the head of their institution.
Step 3: Submit copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attested, if required) to the respective school.
Step 4: The school will visit the Shala Darpan, Rajasthan Portal.
Step 5: Using the school's login credentials (Login ID and Password), the school will fill and submit the application form.

Post-Application Process:

Step 1: The institution head forwards the online application to the concerned District Education Officer (DEO) Headquarters (Primary/Secondary Education).
Step 2: The District Education Officer compiles and forwards the verified applications of all eligible students from the district to the Directorate of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Bikaner.
Step 3: Post-verification, the incentive amount is disbursed to the students' bank accounts.
