The "IELTS & TOEFL Training Assistance" scheme was launched by the Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat. It aims to empower Scheduled Tribe (ST) students aspiring to pursue higher studies abroad after class 12th. Under this scheme, the tribal students receive structured guidance, IELTS and TOEFL training, and financial assistance to prepare for admissions to reputed foreign universities, with additional support for visa and passport processes.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
  2. The applicant must be a student and must have passed class 12th (HSC).1. The applicant should be residing in a notified tribal area of Gujarat.
  3. The applicant must intend to pursue higher education abroad.
  4. The applicant must require IELTS or TOEFL training as part of their admission preparation.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the Project Administrator's Office of all districts and the head office of Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation, Gandhinagar (all tribal districts), and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attested, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Project Administrator's Office of all districts.
