The scheme "House of Himalayas" has been launched by the Department of Rural Development, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to provide a new identity to local Himalayan products of Uttarakhand by improving their branding, marketing, quality and packaging, and supporting them to reach national and international markets.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
  2. The applicant must be a member of a Self-Help Group (SHG), a Community-Based Organization (CBO), a woman entrepreneur, a Local Collective (LC), or a Cluster Level Federation (CLF) formed under any scheme run by the various departments of the Government of Uttarakhand.

The products produced by members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) formed under any scheme run by various departments, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), women entrepreneurs, Local Collectives (LCs), and Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) will be included under the House of Himalayas.
