The scheme "Hostel Rent Assistance Scheme for Tribal Students" was introduced by the Tribal Area Development Department, Government of Rajasthan, aims to encourage tribal students (both boys and girls) of Rajasthan to pursue higher education in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Under this scheme, hostel rent assistance is provided for a maximum period of five years to Scheduled Tribe students studying in government colleges who reside in rented accommodation for the purpose of regular studies. The scheme is applicable only to students from Scheduled Areas of Rajasthan enrolled in government colleges.
Benefits

Validity of Benefit:
- Up to a maximum of 5 academic years per student.
Eligibility
- The applicant should be studying regularly a undergraduate or postgraduate course in a government college.
- The student should belong to a Scheduled Tribe community residing in the Scheduled Areas of Rajasthan.
- The applicant should be a native of Rajasthan.
- The applicant should be studying in a government college.
- The applicant should not be residing in a government-run hostel.
- The applicant's parents/guardian/husband should not be an income tax payer.
- The applicant should not have any academic gap (break) after passing the last board examination.
- The applicant should possess a valid Bhamashah card and an Aadhaar card.

Application Process
Online
Step 1: Eligible students must fill out the prescribed application form online via the official portal.
Step 2: Navigate to the “ONLINE PORTAL FOR TAD EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE SCHEMES” on the homepage.
Step 3: Upload the application form along with the required documents before the notified deadline.
Post Application Process:
Step 1: The college will verify the online applications and forward them to the respective sanctioning authorities (TAD Project Officer / CEO, Zila Parishad).
Step 2: Sanctioning authorities will approve the verified applications online. Incomplete applications, if any, will be returned for correction.
Step 3: Approved applications will be sent to the district treasury office for disbursement.
Step 4: The sanctioned amount will be transferred directly to the student's bank account linked with their Bhamashah card.
