The Handloom Weaver’s Welfare Scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Textile, Government of India. It includes three key insurance programs: Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana. The Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana has a premium of Rs. 436, with Rs. 198 covered by the Government of India and Rs. 238 by the State Government. The Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana has a premium of Rs. 20, fully covered by the Government of India. The Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana has a premium of Rs. 470, with Rs. 290 covered by the Government of India and Rs. 180 by the State Government.

Eligibility
The scheme is applicable to Vankar Co-operative Societies. There are no specific income limits, and it is open to individuals of any profession, education, and social or economic standard.
