The scheme “Hamara School Hamara Vriksh” has been launched by the Department of Forest, Government of Uttarakhand. The aim of the scheme is to encourage tree plantation and environmental awareness among students by providing free saplings to all government and non-government schools for planting within their premises.

Application Process
Offline
- The school manager/principal shall apply to the Divisional Forest Officer in the prescribed form (available at the office of the Forest Range Officer) along with details of the trees previously planted or or currently available in the school and information about the area available for new plantation.
- The Forest Department purchases saplings from Mahila Nurseries, horticulture department nurseries, etc., and distributes them free of charge to schools.
