"Grant of Financial Assistance to the School Going Children of Industrial Workers/Employees Studying in 1st to 4th Standard for Supply of One Set of Uniform" by the Goa Labour Welfare Board, Department of Labour and Employment, Goa, aims to provide financial assistance for the purchase of one set of uniform to school-going children of industrial workers/employees studying in 1st to 4th standard. Through this scheme, assistance is extended to alleviate the financial burden associated with uniform procurement for eligible beneficiaries.

Benefits

  • Financial Assistance of ₹1 600/- per student per annum intended for the purchase of one set of uniforms (shorts/trousers and shirts for male children and frock for female children)

Eligibility

  • The applicant should be an industrial worker/employee.
  • The applicant should be registered with the Goa Labour Welfare Board.
  • The applicant should have a minimum of 6 months of continuous service to the Board at the time of application.
  • The monthly salary of the applicant should not exceed ₹20,000/-.
  • The age of the child of the applicant should be between 5 to 10 years.
  • The child of the applicant should be studying in 1st to 4th standard.
  • The child of the applicant should be enrolled in a recognized, aided, or private school.
  • Preference is given to workers with no more than two children.

Exclusions

The children studying in Government schools who are already being supplied with uniforms by the Government of Goa every year are not eligible.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant should take print of the prescribed format of the application form for the scheme from the Official Website of the Department of Labour and Employment, Goa.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, paste the passport-sized photograph (if required), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: The interested applicant should submit the duly filled and signed application form and the documents through their employers or through the Heads of Educational Institutions where their child is studying, to the Secretary, Goa Labour Welfare Board, 4th floor, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Patto Centre, Panaji, Goa - 403 001.
*The application should reach the Secretary on or before 30th Sept of the current year.
