Details
The scheme provides financial assistance to eligible Gaushalas (cow shelters) and Kanjihouses under the Cow Conservation and Promotion Fund Rules, 2016, amended in 2021. Currently, a maximum assistance of 270 days is available for eligible Gaushalas. Additionally, there is a provision for an extra 90 days of assistance for maintaining visually impaired and disabled cattle in Gaushalas and for male cattle in Nandishalas. The scheme was initiated in the year 2016-17.
Benefits
- - Daily assistance of ₹50for large cattle and ₹25for small cattle for a maximum of 270 days

Eligibility
- Gaushalas registered at least one year prior
- Maintenance of a minimum of 100 cattle for at least one year
- Maintenance of 500 male cattle in district-level Nandishalas
- After the construction of Panchayat Samiti Nandishalas, maintenance of 250 male cattle
