The scheme "Grant-in-aid Scheme to Village Education Committees/Urban Education Committees for minor repairs of Government School buildings" was introduced by the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa. The scheme provides grant-in-aid to address urgent minor repairs required in Government School buildings, particularly before the onset of monsoon.

Benefits

  • Grant-in-Aid Sanctioned to the extent of 75% of the estimated cost expenditure of the works as the first instalment per work for the execution of minor works to the school buildings. Ceiling Limit The ceiling limit is ₹50 000/-
  • other than for the works for which funds have been allotted under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme. Mode of Payment The payment towards the expenditure is made through cheques

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: The interested School Education Committee / Urban Education Committee, after identifying the necessary repair works, should prepare a detailed proposal that includes all the essential details such as cost estimates, etc.
Step 2: The interested School Education Committee / Urban Education Committee should submit the proposals (along with the copies of the required documents) to: Directorate of Education, Porvorim, Goa - 403 501, 0832-2416139, 0832-2416023, 0832-24160332.

Post-Application Process:
The Director of Education after scrutiny sanctions Grant-in-aid to the extent of 75% of the estimated cost expenditure of the works as first instalment per work for the execution of minor works to the school buildings.

NOTE 1: Apply within the prescribed period (if any).
NOTE 2: Request a receipt or acknowledgement from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
