Details

The Gramin Parivahan Seva Yojna was announced by the Honorable Chief Minister during the budget announcement for the year 2021-22 to operate rural transport services. The implementation of the rural transport service scheme has received theoretical approval from the Transport and Road Safety Department of the Rajasthan government on April 26, 2022. Subsequently, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with RITES Ltd. (Rail India Technical & Economical Services Ltd.), a government enterprise, on the same date. The scheme is being implemented in two phases: the first phase includes the Jodhpur and Jaipur divisions, while the second phase covers the remaining divisions of Bharatpur, Bikaner, Kota, Ajmer, and Udaipur. A detailed project report for the first phase (covering all 11 districts of Jaipur and Jodhpur divisions) was submitted to the Finance Department of the Rajasthan government on December 23, 2023, and was received by the corporation on February 20, 2023, after approval. The corporation opened tenders for all 11 districts of Jaipur and Jodhpur divisions on February 27, 2023, but received no tenders for any district other than Jaipur, Alwar, and Dausa. In the second phase, RITES Ltd. submitted a detailed project report for the remaining divisions on March 31, 2023. The report on the routes prepared by RITES Ltd. has been sent to the relevant depots for further action after testing.
