Details

The Go-Kaashth Yojana 2024, initiated by the Directorate of Gopalan, aims to benefit eligible gaushalas (cow shelters) that maintain more than 1000 cattle. The scheme was announced in the budget for the financial year 2024-25, under budget announcement 232.00.00. Eligible gaushalas must be registered under the Rajasthan Gaushala Act of 1960, have been operational for the last three financial years, and must be receiving grants. The scheme also requires that the gaushala has a minimum of 5 bighas of land, a three-phase electricity connection, and a commitment to use the provided equipment for producing and marketing cow wood.

Eligibility

  1. Gaushalas registered under the Rajasthan Gaushala Act of 1960, operational for the last three financial years, and receiving grants.
  2. Gaushalas must maintain a minimum of 1000 cattle (bulls and cows) for the last three financial years.
  3. Gaushalas must own or lease a minimum of 5 bighas of land.
  4. Must have a three-phase electricity connection.
  5. Must not have any pending legal cases against them in any court.
  6. Must express willingness to produce and market cow wood.

Exclusions

Gaushalas that do not meet the eligibility criteria or have pending legal issues are not eligible for this scheme.

To apply, submit the application in prescribed format-1 to the District Joint Director, Animal Husbandry Department. Required documents include:

  1. Details of cattle maintained in the last three years.
  2. Documents proving ownership or lease of a minimum of 5 bighas of land.
  3. Evidence of a three-phase electricity connection.
