Details
To protect the health of the residents and promote the conservation and enhancement of medicinal plants, the state government has launched the Ghar Ghar Aushodhi Yojana. Under this scheme, plants such as Tulsi, Kalmegh, Ashwagandha, and Giloy are being distributed to households across the state. These plants are traditionally used as health supplements and in herbal medicines. It is essential for future generations to understand the importance and uses of these medicinal plants to realize the vision of a healthy Rajasthan. Therefore, the announcement to start the Ghar Ghar Aushodhi Yojana was made in the budget for the year 2021-22. In the year 2022-23, a maximum of 8 plants are being provided to each family under this scheme. Additionally, families can now choose any two types of four plants instead of receiving two plants each of the four types (Giloy, Tulsi, Ashwagandha, and Kalmegh). The distribution of plants is being carried out as much as possible from the nurseries of the Forest Department.
