The Gaurav Puraskar Lalitkala is an initiative by the Gujarat State Lalitkala Academy that honors nine artists who have made significant lifetime contributions in the fields of painting, sculpture, and visual arts. Each selected artist receives a cash award of Rs. 51,000, along with a copperplate, citation, and shawl during a formal ceremony. Additionally, an exhibition showcasing the works of these nine artists is held for five to seven days at the Ravi Shankar Rawal Kala Bhavan in Ahmedabad. The awards have been presented for the year 2019-20.
