The Ganga Swarupa Arthik Sahay Yojana has been implemented by the government to rehabilitate Ganga Swarupa women (widows) living a destitute life in society and help them lead a dignified life. Under the scheme, a monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1250 is provided. To date, more than 15.98 lakh Ganga Swarupa women have been covered under the scheme.
