Details
The Funeral Assistance Scheme for Unorganized Labourers provides financial assistance to one of the heirs of deceased unorganized sector labourers in the state for posthumous cremation. This scheme aims to support the families of unorganized labourers during their time of loss by offering a monetary benefit to help cover funeral expenses.
Benefits
- - Financial Assistance of ₹10,000for posthumous cremation (funeral) to one of the heirs of the deceased
- Financial Assistance of ₹10,000 for posthumous cremation (funeral) to one of the heirs of the deceased.
Eligibility
All e-Shram Card holder unorganized labourers of the state (except e-Nirman card holders and Scheduled Castes) with an income limit of ₹1,50,000 in urban areas and ₹1,20,000 in rural areas.
Exclusions
e-Nirman card holders and Scheduled Castes are not eligible for this scheme.
Application Process
Online
To apply, visit the relevant Assistant Labour Officer's office or the Government Labour Officer's office. Required documents include:
- Advance receipt of money as per Annexure-3 of the resolution (with revenue stamp)
- Age Proof
- Bank Pass Book/Cancelled Cheque
- Birth Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Certificate of Income in prescribed format as per Annexure-II of the Resolution
- Copy of e-Shram Card
- Death Certificate
- Income Certificate
- Ration Card
- School Leaving Certificate
- Written guarantee that assistance has not been received or will not be received from other sources as per Annexure-IV of the resolution.
