Details

In the budget announcement number 166 for the financial year 2022-23, the tourism and hospitality sector has been granted full recognition as an industry sector. In the future, government tariffs and levies will be applicable according to industrial norms for this sector. To avail these benefits, the Tourism Department has initiated an online service for issuing eligibility certificates to tourism units, as per the office order dated 18.05.2022. This recognition aims to provide real benefits to the tourism and hospitality sector as an industry. The relevant departments, such as Energy and Urban Development, will bear the financial burden under this flagship program. The state government has announced this recognition to support the tourism and hospitality sector.
