Free Scooty Distribution for Girls (General Category - EWS)

The scheme provides free scooters to meritorious girls from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of the General Category in Rajasthan. Since the academic year 2017-18, eligible students who score more than 90% in their Class 10 and 12 examinations from government and private schools are awarded scooters. In the financial year 2018-19, the eligibility criteria were adjusted to require a minimum score of 85%. A total of 305 scooters were distributed in 2017-18 and 790 scooters in 2018-19 to eligible students whose family income is less than ₹2.5 lakh per annum.

Meritorious girls from government and private schools in the General Category (Economically Weaker Section) whose family annual income is less than ₹2.5 lakh and who score more than 85% in Class 10 and 12 exams.

Students who have received a scooter under any other scheme or scholarship are not eligible.

Applications can be submitted offline through all higher secondary and secondary schools to the District Education Officer's office. Required documents include:

• Self-attested copies of examination certificates and mark sheets
• Caste certificate from a competent authority
• Proof of residence
• Self-attested copy of Aadhaar card
• Self-attested copy of Bhamashah card
• Income certificate from a competent authority stating annual income is less than ₹2.5 lakh
• Self-declaration affidavit stating that the applicant has not received a scooter under any other scheme.
