Details

The scheme provides free bicycles to all girls who are newly admitted to Class IX in government schools. Since its inception in the financial year 2007-08, a total of 2,658,908 eligible girls have received bicycles under this initiative.

Eligibility

All girls who are newly admitted to Class IX in government schools and have not availed of the transport voucher.

Exclusions

Girls who have availed of the transport voucher are not eligible.

To apply, contact the Panchayat Primary Education Officer, Principal of the relevant government secondary school, or the Headmaster of the government secondary school. Required documents include a certified copy of the page with the scholar register number.
