The scheme “Formation of Mahila Mangal and Yuvak Mangal Dal” was launched by the Department of Youth Welfare and prantiy rakshak dal (PRD), Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to form groups of interested women and men from Gram Panchayats across the state, who are 18 years of age or above, enabling them to avail the benefits of various schemes of the Youth Welfare and PRD Department and to collectively undertake business or livelihood activities.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be an interested woman or man.
  2. The applicant must be a resident of a Gram Panchayat in Uttarakhand.
  3. The applicant must be above 18 years of age.

Application Process

Offline

  • Formation of Mahila Mangal and Yuvak Mangal Dals – The Youth Welfare & PRD Department forms one Mahila Mangal Dal and one Yuvak Mangal Dal in each Gram Panchayat.
  • Any individual wishing to become a member of the Mahila Mangal Dal or Yuvak Mangal Dal must have a related proposal passed by the Gram Sabha and submitted to the concerned Regional Youth Welfare and PRD Officer.
