The “Fisheries Training and Extension Programme” scheme has been implemented by the Department of Fisheries, UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The scheme aims to provide financial support to fishermen attending fisheries training programmes. Through this scheme, stipend and travelling allowance or daily allowance are provided to fishermen during training programmes conducted within the district or at outstation locations.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be a resident of the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
  2. The applicant must be a fisherman.
  3. The applicant must be attending a fisheries training programme.
  4. The applicant must attend training either within the district or at an outstation.
