The scheme "Farmer Pension Scheme" has been launched by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial support to elderly farmers residing in the state of Uttarakhand. Under this scheme, a monthly pension is provided to farmers who are above 60 years of age, own up to 2 hectares of land, and cultivate their own land.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
  2. The applicant must be a farmer actively engaged in cultivating their own land.
  3. The applicant must be above 60 years of age.
  4. The applicant must own and cultivate up to 2 hectares of agricultural land.

Application Process

Online

The applicant can apply online either by themselves or through a Common Service Center (CSC) via the Department’s Pension Portal (https://ssp.uk.gov.in), the UMANG Mobile App, or the Apuni Sarkar Portal (https://eservices.uk.gov.in).
The following documents are mandatory at the time of applying: Applicant’s mobile number, Passport-size photograph (attested by Gram Pradhan / V.P.D.O. / certified by Councillor), Photocopy of Aadhaar card and Voter ID card, An attested copy of the Khatauni (land records), Permanent Residence Certificate, A ₹10/- stamp paper affidavit declaring that the applicant cultivates their own land and owns up to 2 hectares of land, or less than 2 hectares, along with the relevant land documents, CBS bank account details (linked/seeded with Aadhaar), Copy of family register (for rural areas only), Copy of the resolution passed in the open meeting of Gram Panchayat (for rural areas) / certified by Councillor (for urban areas)
The land ownership certificate is issued by the Revenue Officer/Assistant Agriculture Officer, who certifies it in the prescribed form/letter. There is no requirement for an income certificate.
All the above documents must be issued from the district where the application is being submitted.

For verification of the online application form in rural areas, the final decision is taken by the District Social Welfare Officer after recommendations from the Gram Panchayat Development Officer, Assistant Social Welfare Officer, and Block Development Officer, respectively. In urban areas, verification and recommendation are done by the Assistant Social Welfare Officer and Sub-District Magistrate. If the application is found correct, the District Social Welfare Officer approves it, after which the pension payment process is initiated.

The pension is credited to the applicant’s bank account one month after the approval of the application.
