Employment Linked Skill Training Programme (ELSTP)

The “Employment Linked Skill Training Programme” scheme was launched by the Department of Skill Development and Employment, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide free, self-employment-oriented training courses to unemployed/school dropouts/other disadvantaged youth of the state. It is a state-sponsored scheme that offers training in fields such as IT, healthcare, agriculture, beauty and wellness, electronics, and more.

• This training is free of cost and has a duration of 3 to 6 months.
• Training offers employment/self-employment-oriented courses in areas such as IT, health, agriculture, beauty, wellness, electronics, and more.
• The training provider also strives to facilitate employment opportunities for participants.

1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
2. The applicant must be an unemployed, school dropout, or other underprivileged youth of the state.

• Candidates can register for training on the Uttarakhand Skill Development Committee website, www.uksdm.org, and apply to the private training provider centers listed on the website. - Interested youth can contact the organizations by selecting the relevant job role. The list of active organizations is available on the departmental website.
• During the application process, candidates will need to provide their Aadhaar card and educational qualification certificate for the respective course.
