Details

The scheme aims to improve irrigation facilities for Scheduled Tribe farmers in both scheduled and non-scheduled areas by providing electric connections to their private agricultural wells and distributing electric pumpsets. It is mandatory for the farmer to own agricultural land and have been cultivating it for at least the past three years. A copy of the demand note issued to the relevant electricity distribution corporation is required along with the application for the electric connection. Financial assistance of up to ₹10,000 for the electric connection and ₹15,000 for the electric pump is provided under the scheme.
