Details
The Doodh Sanjeevani Scheme is implemented by the Women and Child Development Department to improve the nutritional status of children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. The objectives of the scheme include enhancing the nutritional status of mothers and children, reducing the prevalence of preterm or low birth weight babies, and decreasing the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR).
Benefits
- - Milk provision for children aged 6 months to 6 years: 100 ml per child, five days a week
- Milk provision for pregnant women and lactating mothers: 200 ml per beneficiary, twice a week
